V-WORK PRINCIPLES

According to v-work, successful organizations continuously balance three key elements:

* The external environment
* Processes
* People

A healthy organization provides for successful results. How well people in your organization succeed in adapting the processes to changes in the external environment determines your success. This is what we call Creating Innovation.

The Internet has propelled the world towards a digital society in which people, as individuals, rule. Consequently, the role of the individual in his professional environment is changing. People want to live and work differently and are looking for ways to maximize the development of their talents. In many organizations processes and traditional ways of working, limit the creativity of individuals and the development of innovative solutions and products.

For v-work, Creating Innovation means finding the optimal balance between the creativity of your people and your processes. The balance between what people want to achieve, and the structures that are used to facilitate this: the organizational design and processes – and their impact on the external environment. A balanced organization provides people, as individuals and as teams, space for innovation and improvisation.

A fitting metaphor for this process can be found in Jazz music. In Jazz, improvisation and innovation are key elements. Jazz musicians work as individuals and as teams to create unique and innovative music through individual excellence. In order to create unique music, jazz musicians continuously use and change the underlying musical processes and standards. Only a professional and well trained musician is able to improvise on the standards. As in Jazz, well balanced organizations provide their teams with ‘business-groove’ where individuals can optimize their performance in a state of ‘flow’. Your customers and stakeholders are more than happy to share that feeling with you.

v-work translates this into the equation:

The lens through which v-work looks at this equation is Network Thinking. This ensures an integral approach to identify the best solutions. In this process, v-work uses carefully selected industry standards like Intellectual Capital, ValueNet Works AnalysisTM, Kaizen/Lean and Six Sigma.
